Al Qur'an: Be good to your parents & show kindness to them (Urdu/English)

 23. Thy Lord hath decreed
that ye worship none but Him, and that

ye be kind to parents.
Whether one or both of them
attain old age in thy life,

say not to them a word of contempt,
nor repel them,
but address them in terms of honour.

And out of kindness,
lower to them the wing of humility,
and say:

even as they cherished me in childhood."

Imam Bukhari writes that:

Prophet Muhammad [May Allah bless Him and grant Him peace] has said,
The status of the deceased is raised (during their time in the grave),
and the deceased ask Allah (Almighty.) why has this happened,
Allah (Almighty.) replies that your son has prayed for your forgiveness.
